Coaching/Discipline

Coaching is a useful "proactive" management technique that can be integrated into the disciplinary process. It is a formal procedure in which the supervisor and an employee agree to exactly how the employee will change his or her behavior.

Disciplinary measures are applied only when other efforts to motivate an employee to behave safely have failed.

Make sure and follow the company guidelines when undertaking disciplinary measures.
